Richard has been making great progress on the trackwork for the new layout.

There has been various discussions about the creation of a heritage line that will enable the residents of South Croydon to alight at the bus garage and take the heritage line to the base of the medieval castle. Consideration is being given to the rolling stock. One flight of fancy imagined a Rocket type loco hauling a rake of open coaches up the incline to the castle. As real smoke was mentioned, the nay-sayers thought that an upgrade of the fire-extinguishers might be required.

Not content with such a fantasy, the image of a Rapunzil figure lowering her hair from a high tower in the castle was conjured up. OK sometimes even modellers get carried away.
