Over the past few weeks, Malcolm and Dave have been starting to paint the rails. This is up there with ballasting as the modeller’s worst nightmare.
Malcolm had decided that there had to be a better way of doing it so he brought in his trusty air gun and compressor.
Meanwhile Dave was left to continue the manual process of painting the sleepers. The only thing that can be said about this is that is is better than having to work under the baseboard – only marginally.
It would take a brave member to ask why the last baseboard is paint-free. Perhaps the can of brown paint has finally run out!
