The layout has been gathering dust for months and Thomas is a new engine, so much track cleaning, finger coaxing and replacement of track joiners was needed to get Thomas going.
Malcolm H is keen to see what is next and Allan explained how a series of boards based around a MERG automatic train controller, could be used to migrate from a simple shuttle running from end to end, to a larger automated layout with multiple locos and multiple ends.
