Ray and Allan have been working on the new electronic control system to be installed on the venerable club layout – Avon Sidings.

The three modules at the top will switch track power to the isolated sections using solid state relays. Three modules at the bottom will control the points Each module will control up to four points and initial testing has proved that each module is functional.

Thge remaining module on the bottom row and beside it the blue five volt power supply will be used to provide a DC voltage to run the locos.

Good progress was made during the afternoon. Some issue remain with the mimic panel and the DC control system.
