Whoopee – holiday in the Stubai valley in Austria, complete with a tram link to Innsbruck.
I usually use the holiday to try and learn about something new – this year was no exception, I was determined to work through the challenges of oblocks and warrants in the freely available program – Java Model Railroad Interface (JMRI).
It took time but fortified by the excellent local Austrian wine, I managed to move a virtual train on my PC from one block to another.
It is starting to look as if I can use JMRI to automate a layout rather than using bespoke programming.
